A Cambium Networks Case Study
Edera, a leading wireless Internet service provider (WISP) in the Czech Republic, faced slow, unreliable connectivity in the town of Lázně Bohdaneč that could not support VoIP, video or growing broadband demand. With 5 GHz spectrum increasingly constrained and customer needs rising for higher throughput (targeting up to 10 Mbps per subscriber), Edera needed a scalable, low‑cost, low‑maintenance solution — and turned to Cambium Networks’ ePMP platform.
Cambium Networks deployed its ePMP unlicensed 5 GHz radios with GPS synchronization, MIMO and adaptive modulation to deliver high spectral efficiency and rapid outdoor deployment. The rollout exceeded expectations: the network capacity improved by a factor of five, provided up to 150 Mbps per sector and met Edera’s per‑subscriber throughput targets, enabling reliable triple‑play services, supporting a five‑year expansion plan and strengthening Edera’s customer satisfaction and brand position.
