World Cinema (WCI) was engaged to deliver a turnkey “All Things Connected” network for a brand-new extended stay hotel chain rolling out across the Southeastern US during the COVID‑19 era. The challenge was to provide a single‑source, scalable, secure and cost‑effective connectivity platform that delivered consistent in‑room experience, automated/contactless guest workflows, and brandwide standardization. WCI deployed its ImpruviX solution backed by partner technologies, including Cambium Networks and Sonora Network Solutions.
Cambium Networks solutions were standardized into WCI’s layered ImpruviX deployment—using Cambium access points integrated with the RXG gateway for authentication, segmentation, CASB and managed services—supported by site blueprinting, predictive mapping, staging and on‑site training. The result was enterprise‑grade, property‑to‑property consistency with instant onboarding, enhanced security segmentation, monetization opportunities and a greatly reduced total cost of ownership; the hotels enjoyed seamless coverage, improved guest satisfaction and numerous positive reviews while enabling contactless operations during the pandemic.
