A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Burke County Public School Case Study

Create Classroom Excellence With Instruction and Infrastructure

Burke County Public School, led by CIO Dr. Melanie Honeycutt, serves about 12,000 K–12 students across 27 schools and faced the challenge of supporting a wide mix of older and new devices while preparing for Wi‑Fi 6 classrooms. To meet high‑density streaming, BYOD and Google/Apple device needs, the district partnered with Cambium Networks to upgrade access points and adopt cloud management tools (XMS).

Cambium Networks deployed Wi‑Fi 6 access points and XMS cloud management to deliver faster, more reliable wireless across the district, enabling simultaneous classroom streaming, smoother device transitions, and secure BYOD/SSO access. With Cambium Networks’ remote monitoring the WAN team can throttle bandwidth misuse and resolve issues without dispatching technicians, saving instructional time and increasing teacher and student confidence across all 27 schools.
