Connectivity in the hospital: The Cambium Networks solutions at the Nomentana hospital in Rome

Nomentana Hospital, a 17,000 m² healthcare facility in Rome with 551 beds, needed centralized, site‑wide Wi‑Fi to support patients and a broad clinical staff. The hospital required an easy‑to‑use access portal, simple licensing management and devices certified for medical environments — needs met by Cambium Networks (cnMaestro, cnMatrix and XV2‑2 Wi‑Fi 6 products).

Cambium Networks deployed the cnMaestro cloud management platform, six cnMatrix EX2028‑P switches and seventy EN 60601‑1‑2‑certified XV2‑2 access points, mapped the site for optimal coverage, configured VLANs and firewall rules, and completed the rollout in about one week. The result is secure, efficient wireless across the campus that supports guest access and electronic medical records, with positive user feedback and measurable deployment figures (6 switches, 70 APs, ~1 week configuration).
