Collocated ePMP an PMP 450 Solution Gives a Connectivity Boost to a Prospering Canadian Region

Silo Wireless, a broadband provider serving rural and commercial markets in Southwestern Ontario, faced growing congestion on its 3.65 GHz access points as demand rose. As a long-time customer of Cambium Networks, Silo Wireless evaluated options and turned to Cambium Networks’ products — notably ePMP and PMP 450 (with Wireless Manager and GPS synchronization) — to add capacity and preserve service quality while expanding into new residential and business markets.

Cambium Networks deployed PMP 450 on large commercial towers and ePMP at the network edge, using freed-up 5 GHz spectrum to maximize reach and efficiency. The combined solution delivered rapid, simple rollouts via Wireless Manager, consistent capacities (over 80 Mbps down/25 Mbps up), support for up to ~200 subscribers per PMP 450 AP and up to 120 per ePMP AP, and range up to 25 miles—enabling Silo Wireless to migrate most customers to the new platform, offer faster packages, increase ROI, and plan major further rollouts.
