cnPilot™ Connects 360 Students and Staff at St. John’s Primary School

St. John’s Primary School in the United Kingdom — a school with nearly 360 students and staff that needs to support up to 30 pupils per classroom on laptops — faced patchy, end-of-life 802.11n Wi‑Fi and a limited budget that ruled out many mainstream enterprise options. Cambium Networks was chosen to provide a modern, cost‑effective solution, offering the cnPilot family (cnPilot e410 and e430 access points) managed by cnMaestro and backed by phone support and a five‑year warranty.

Cambium Networks deployed twelve cnPilot e410 ceiling APs and three cnPilot e430 wall‑mounted APs, with network planning and pre‑configuration handled by Agile ICT and remote tuning through cnMaestro. After deployment, maximum connection rate rose from 300 Mbps to 400 Mbps (+33%) and throughput increased from 120 Mbps to 175 Mbps (+46%), with overall efficiency improving to about 44% (a 10% efficiency gain); students and staff report noticeably faster, more reliable Wi‑Fi that supports iPads, SaaS learning apps and the school’s Windows domain.
