CEMAFE Extends Connectivity with the Channel Bonding PTP 550 in Rural Argentina

CEMAFE, an Argentine ISP serving remote areas of San Juan Province, faced logistical and economic barriers to delivering high‑speed Internet across rugged, hard‑to‑reach terrain. Their existing infrastructure couldn’t provide the reliable, low‑maintenance, cost‑effective connectivity required, so they turned to Cambium Networks for a rugged, high‑performance wireless solution (including PTP 550, ePMP and Force 300 platforms).

Working with consultant RFIT and using Cambium Networks’ LINKPlanner, the deployment used a PTP 550 connectorized link with 3‑foot antennas to deliver 200 Mbps over 49 km (two 20 MHz channels), Force 300 for last‑mile delivery, and end‑to‑end management via cnMaestro. The Cambium Networks solution’s dual‑radio/channel‑bonding resiliency and careful pre‑engineering produced faster speeds, lower latency and increased capacity; CEMAFE is migrating its backbone to Cambium products, growing its customer base and achieving an excellent return on investment.
