Cambium Networks Wi-Fi Handles 28,000 Visitors During GITEX 2023

3GCOM, a Rabat‑based systems integrator, was tasked with delivering reliable, high‑capacity connectivity for GITEX Africa 2023 — a 45,000 m² show with 900 exhibitors and more than 28,000 visitors over three days. The event’s temporary halls, tight timelines for assembly/dismantling, extensive cabling needs and very high user density required an exemplar communications infrastructure; 3GCOM selected Cambium Networks’ Wi‑Fi solutions (Wi‑Fi 6) to meet those demands.

3GCOM deployed a Cambium Networks solution that included 60 XV2‑2 indoor and 10 XV2‑2T0 outdoor access points, supported by more than 10 km of Cat6, 2.5 km of fiber and real‑time monitoring via cnMaestro with on‑site support. The installation handled the target of 5,000 simultaneous terminals and sustained service for roughly 8,000 daily visitors (28,000 total across three days), with an 11‑person maintenance team supported by Cambium Networks personnel — delivering stable, high‑density Wi‑Fi performance and confirming readiness for the next edition.
