Case Study: Formula 1 Brazil achieves reliable, high-performance cashless transactions with Cambium Networks' cnPilot Wi‑Fi

A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Formula 1 Brazil Case Study

Built for Speed: cnPilot™ Wi-Fi at the Formula 1® Brazilian Grand Prix 2017

Formula 1 Brazil needed reliable, temporary Wi‑Fi for the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos to support an exclusively cashless payment system over a 3‑day event. The network had to reliably serve 190 card top‑up machines, operate independently of mobile networks, and allow flexible, quick installation to meet event scheduling — requirements met by Cambium Networks and its cnPilot family of products.

Cambium Networks deployed cnPilot e410 indoor and e500 outdoor access points managed by the cnMaestro™ Network Controller to provide full coverage to concession cashiers and enable real‑time remote monitoring. The solution supported consistent, stable transactions across all 190 devices, contributed to the smooth operation of the cashless payment system, and delivered the quick activation and flexibility needed for the temporary event.
