A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Formula 1 Brazil Case Study

Built for Speed cnPilot™ Wi-Fi at the Formula 1® Brazilian Grand Prix

Formula 1 Brazil faced the challenge of delivering reliable, high‑density temporary Wi‑Fi for the three‑day Brazilian Grand Prix to support an entirely cashless payment system using dedicated debit cards. To ensure fast, secure top‑ups and transactions across a newly expanded grandstand and intense spectator traffic, event contractor Interpub engaged Cambium Networks to redeploy its cnPilot Wi‑Fi solution (cnPilot e410/e500), backed by PTP 450i radios and managed with cnMaestro.

Cambium Networks deployed cnPilot indoor and outdoor APs with a PTP 450i ultra wide‑band backhaul and centralized management via cnMaestro, enabling quick setup, remote monitoring, AP grouping and simultaneous configuration. The solution supported about 190 card top‑up devices across the circuit, kept transactions agile and stable during the event, and powered additional services like video surveillance—demonstrating measurable operational reliability and repeatable, rapid temporary deployment for future races.
