Balancing Performance and Budget for the Ideal Solution

GIGANET/NIDIX NETWORKS, a WISP serving business and residential customers across 11 municipalities in northern Chihuahua, was struggling to deliver consistent 4–10 Mbps services as growth slowed from interference and limited user capacity per sector. To support more subscribers per sector, use spectrum more efficiently, and maintain profitability, they evaluated solutions from Cambium Networks, including the ePMP™ 2000 with Dynamic Filter and Smart Beamforming.

Cambium Networks implemented the ePMP 2000 platform and tested various subscriber modules in high-density areas, monitoring signal level, link quality, and throughput for 50 customers before and after migration. After the upgrade GIGANET reported 53 stations with most users at MCS15 uplink and MCS14 downlink, experiencing lower latency, better navigation, and guaranteed bandwidth during peak hours, and plans to migrate more high-density areas to Cambium Networks equipment to connect additional subscribers per access point.
