AWO Chemnitz - Customer Case Study

AWO Chemnitz, a German senior living residence overseeing the Marie‑Juchacz‑Haus and Willy‑Brandt‑Haus, needed to modernize its Wi‑Fi to provide reliable, barrier‑free internet for residents and staff in rooms, common areas and the garden. Working with partner Mugler SE, they selected Cambium Networks’ solution — deploying Wi‑Fi 6 access points and cnMatrix switches (models XV2‑2, XV2‑2T0 and cnMatrix EX series) to meet the requirement for high‑performance indoor and outdoor coverage.

Cambium Networks, via Mugler SE, installed 35 indoor XV2‑2 APs, 5 outdoor XV2‑2T0 APs and nine cnMatrix switches (EX2028, EX1010‑P, EX2028‑P). The rollout delivered consistent, high‑bandwidth Wi‑Fi across the entire compound, supports many simultaneous users without interruption, and is easily scalable for future demand; residents now have free Wi‑Fi, feedback is consistently positive, and AWO Chemnitz reports improved digital services and readiness for growing usage.
