A Cambium Networks Case Study

Preview of the Koma Nord Ltd. Case Study

232 Hospital emergency departments in poland empowered with wireless communication of mobile devices

Koma Nord Ltd., acting as a subcontractor on the TOPSOR tender, was tasked with providing reliable wireless connectivity for medical staff across 232 hospital emergency departments in Poland. To ensure seamless, secure Wi‑Fi for hectic ED environments and support TOPSOR’s patient‑management and triage functions, Koma Nord deployed Cambium Networks equipment, notably the cnPilot e410 access points and cloud management via cnMaestro.

Koma Nord supplied 496 Cambium Networks cnPilot e410 APs and implemented separate Wi‑Fi subnetworks managed through cnMaestro, delivering certified, high‑capacity wireless (up to 1,200 Mbit/s and support for up to 256 users per device). The deployment covered all 232 EDs, provided IEC 60601‑1‑12 compliance for medical settings, and has run stably and fault‑free for nearly two years, ensuring continuous operation of the TOPSOR system and reliable connectivity for clinical staff.
