The Town of Whitby, a fast-growing community in Ontario, faced increasing development activity that made it difficult to track securities for large infrastructure projects. As part of the challenge, the town needed a better way to manage Letters of Credit across multiple departments, and it turned to Calytera’s AMANDA platform for planning and public services.

Calytera implemented AMANDA and the Letter of Credit Module to create an integrated, auditable process for drafting, reviewing, approving, and enforcing subdivision agreement conditions. The system automated credit tracking from creation through final release, reduced manual paper-based work, and improved speed and accuracy; key departments now perform about 80% of their processes and produce 81% of their documents in AMANDA, while the town also eliminated delays caused by manual Treasury reporting.
