The Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Industrial Compliance and Labor needed to improve the efficiency of its business processes, reporting, and processing capabilities. It also wanted a better way to track inspections, licensing, certifications, revenue, staff performance, and related applications while standardizing workflows across the state and reducing IT complexity and costs. Calytera’s AMANDA platform was selected to help meet those goals.

Calytera implemented AMANDA to streamline licensing, registration, inspections, plan reviews, and appeals processes across multiple bureaus, and later added AMANDA Mobile for remote inspections in the field. The solution improved efficiency and gave inspectors the ability to complete inspections remotely, helping the division better serve citizens. Calytera also planned a public portal to further expand online access for permits, licenses, and renewals.
