Newfoundland and Labrador, a province with extensive Crown Lands and a legacy land-management system from the early 1990s, needed a better way to handle land and case management requirements across multiple regional offices. The old system could not adequately track applications, support business rules, or provide centralized access to land records. Calytera implemented AMANDA to automate Crown Lands workflows, enforce over 253 business rules, centralize the Registry of Crown Titles, and improve application processing, renewals, rent reviews, and document generation. The solution has helped Newfoundland and Labrador process more than 15,000 new and renewal applications, manage over 89,725 active Crown land parcels, load 150 years of historical titles, and generate more than $9.75 million in revenue, while reducing decision time and improving access across the province.
