The City of St. Paul’s 27-member fire prevention group was struggling to manage about 19,000 fire inspections each year, creating major scheduling, data-entry, and revenue-collection challenges. With a growing workload and an inefficient legacy process, the city needed a better way to handle inspection data and field operations.

Calytera worked with the St. Paul fire department to implement AMANDA for fire inspectors, supported by Panasonic Toughbooks for field use. The new system streamlined scheduling, reminders, reporting, code lookup, and invoicing, while reducing manual paperwork and improving billing consistency. As a result, St. Paul was able to complete required inspections with fewer staff and handle increased volumes more efficiently.
