A CallTower Case Study

Preview of the City of Del Mar Case Study

City in the Cloud Searching for Superior Call Quality

The City of Del Mar, a small municipality in California, faced the challenge of replacing its outdated and costly on-premise Cisco phone system. With a small IT department, each hardware upgrade required expensive third-party support and caused delays. IT Manager Emily Bernardo sought a solution that would reduce replacement expenses, ensure superior call quality, and provide exceptional support as the city prepared to relocate its operations.

CallTower implemented a fully hosted Cisco Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solution. This provided the city with a future-proof system that eliminated costly hardware upgrades. The solution was proven through a successful pilot program that showed no degradation in call quality. CallTower also provisioned a dedicated MPLS circuit for managed voice continuity, ensuring full redundancy and freeing the IT staff from managing circuits. The project was completed months ahead of schedule, providing a reliable, always-up-to-date phone system that allows the IT team to focus on strategic goals.
