Putting Peer to Peer Texting to the test in the BC Liberal Party Leadership race

Liberal Party Leadership needed to scale personal voter outreach during the BC leadership race — registering voters, identifying supporters, promoting events and executing GOTV — beyond what traditional phone banks could handle. To meet that challenge they used CallHub’s Collective Texting peer-to-peer texting platform alongside phone banks to reach voters more quickly and maintain one-on-one conversations at scale.

CallHub split contact lists among volunteers, synced responses to NationBuilder, and let a few volunteers handle many simultaneous text conversations, driving rapid voter ID, event RSVPs, volunteer recruitment and GOTV. The campaign reached 25,000+ voters, engaged 5,000+ in personal conversations, achieved a 20% response rate and identified 4.8% previously unknown supporters, demonstrating measurable gains from CallHub’s solution.
