A CallFire Case Study
SelectCare Benefits Network (SCBN), an Austin-based nonprofit that helps low-income and uninsured patients obtain low-cost or free prescription medications, was losing eligible clients who unknowingly disqualified themselves by entering incorrect information on applications. Manually calling applicants to correct errors was slow, costly (about $10/hour), and produced only a handful of calls per hour, limiting enrollment reach.
SCBN implemented CallFire’s Voice Broadcast to automate follow-up calls, running campaigns that now send more than 3,000 calls weekly (26,000 in the first campaign and ~40,000 total to date). The automated solution greatly expanded weekly reach, cut contact costs to mere cents per call, and delivered a strong return on investment while simplifying the enrollment process.
