UC Irvine uses CallFire’s voice broadcast to increase event attendance by 1,000 alumni

The UCI Alumni Association needed a low‑cost way to invite 40,000 alumni to Homecoming without the expense of printed materials. Michelle Williams, Associate Executive Director of Communications, Marketing & Membership, consulted CallFire and chose a voice broadcast approach to deliver a personalized invitation from Assistant Vice Chancellor Jorge Ancona.

CallFire’s Interactive Voice Broadcast sent invitations to roughly 40,000 alumni, prompting strong, positive responses and boosting Homecoming attendance by nearly 1,000 people. The campaign was easy to implement, well received by alumni, cost‑effective for the university, and has been recommended to other UCI departments.
