A CallFire Case Study
NoOnProp8.org, launched by Equality California in 2008 to oppose Proposition 8, faced a major outreach challenge: roughly 10,000 volunteer callers but no call center infrastructure and a goal to contact millions of California voters (about 3 million). They needed a scalable, low-cost way to organize volunteers and simplify dialing.
CallFire’s Cloud Call Center was deployed in three days, letting volunteers dial from their own phones and laptops. The virtual system supported ~10,000 agents who placed 800,000 dials and spoke with 641,495 voters, enabling rapid, large-scale outreach and contributing to a heavily funded campaign ($43.3M); CallFire was selected because it could onboard thousands of volunteers quickly without infrastructure costs.
