Blood Center Sees Positive Donor Responses with CallFire

Blood Assurance, a regional blood bank supplying more than 60 healthcare facilities across the South, needed a cost-effective, scalable way to recruit thousands of potential donors. Telerecruitment lead Avery Krouse was unhappy with his previous vendor’s usability and cost, and needed a solution that could handle large lead lists, build new donor bases in expanding markets, and generate more appointments than traditional email outreach.

By adopting CallFire’s Cloud Call Center along with Voice Broadcast and SMS, Blood Assurance was able to contact donors more affordably and efficiently, placing thousands of calls and texts weekly and frequently upgrading plans to meet demand. The multi-channel approach delivered stronger results than email—examples include 4,400 calls producing 12 donors and far fewer touches needed via SMS—resulting in increased appointment scheduling, higher donation responses, and expanded donor recruitment across new service areas.
