Interior designer Marina Cheban and her husband faced the challenge of renovating the primary closets in their historic brownstone, requiring two distinct and personalized dressing spaces to suit their individual styles and wardrobes. They turned to California Closets for a custom his and hers walk-in closet solution to bring their vision to life.

California Closets consultant Donna Infantolino designed two contrasting yet functionally mirrored closets. For Marina, a serene, light-filled space with neutral finishes and gold hardware was created, featuring open hanging, glass cabinets for handbags, and multi-level shoe storage. For her husband, a den-like atmosphere was achieved with a rich wood grain finish and black hardware, incorporating open hanging for suits, shelving for footwear, and ample closed storage. The final result maximized the challenging space, providing the couple with the elegant and highly functional custom closets they desired.
