The customers, award-winning musician Jon Batiste and Emmy-winning author Suleika Jaouad, faced the challenge of designing a shared dressing room for their Brooklyn brownstone that needed to organize two distinct wardrobes, including Jon's performance suits, while also serving as a personal, reflective space that reflected their blended heritages. They collaborated with the vendor, California Closets, and an interior designer to create a custom solution.

California Closets implemented a tailored walk-in closet with custom cabinetry that accommodated a central piano, dual hanging areas, specialized shoe shelving, and luxurious Everstyle jewelry drawers. The result was a highly functional and deeply personal "his and hers" space that provided organization for their extensive collections and achieved the couple's goal of creating a room for connection and reflection, perfectly outfitting their home they call "Tunisiana."
