Case Study: Southaven Police Department achieves 350+ staff hours saved and fewer in-person non-emergency responses with Caliber Public Safety

A Caliber Public Safety Case Study

Preview of the Southaven Police Department Case Study

How the Southaven Police Department used Caliber’s Online RMS to reduce the amount of time officers spent on non-emergency reports

The Southaven Police Department was facing a steady increase in non-emergency report requests that were tying up officers—often 20+ minutes per incident—and diverting resources from higher-priority calls. To reduce in-person responses and streamline intake, Southaven partnered with Caliber Public Safety and implemented Caliber’s Online RMS with an Online Self-Reporting Form.

Using Caliber Public Safety’s Online RMS, the department embedded a custom online reporting form on its website and shifted review to a sworn desk officer who creates reports when warranted or follows up with submitters. The change produced measurable results: roughly 780 online submissions from January–mid‑November 2021 and over 350 staff hours saved, while enabling targeted patrol responses and better allocation of personnel.
