A Calero Case Study

Preview of the London Financial services Company Case Study

International financial services firm implements Market Data Manager to achieve transparency and control over global spend

London Financial services Company, a buy-side firm with about 250 market-data users across Europe, Asia and the US, needed better control of more than $8.5M in market-data spend. They were managing costs in disparate spreadsheets, lacked accurate allocation, reporting and confidence in vendor/exchange compliance, and after an RFI/RFP selected Calero (Calero‑MDSL)’s Market Data Management product suite (Market Data Manager) to address these challenges.

Calero implemented Market Data Manager and provided managed services for invoice processing, mirroring the firm’s cost‑code hierarchy and handling complex vendor billing and allocations. The solution delivered rapid transparency and a global view of spend, stronger control of 288 vendor accounts and 470 contracts across 63 vendors, improved contract negotiations, and — by adopting Calero’s Request & Procurement module and standard processes — achieved an annual cost avoidance of $550,000.
