IWG, the world’s largest provider of flexible workspace with nearly 3,000 business centers across 120 countries, struggled to manage a rapidly growing, complex telecom environment using a small in‑house Telecom Expense Management (TEM) team and two prior vendors. Facing frequent inventory errors, missed billing issues, and limited auditing (paper invoices reviewed only biannually), IWG engaged Calero (Calero‑MDSL) for a scalable TEM solution and portal to centralize order processing, auditing and inventory management.

Calero digitized and audited all invoices, rebuilt IWG’s inventory, and moved 100% of orders into the Calero‑MDSL portal while feeding validated AP data to IWG’s finance team. As a result, IWG recovered $1.6 million in credits, improved inventory and AP accuracy, enabled a rapid PRI‑to‑SIP migration across most offices in under a year, and achieved measurable cost reductions through better contract negotiations and dispute management with Calero.
