Boosting social connectivity with Events, Communities, and Regions

ACME, a fintech company with over 5,000 employees across 40 offices, was facing challenges with employee isolation and low engagement. Following layoffs and with a complex desk-booking system, there was a pressing need to boost social connectivity and rebuild a sense of belonging among its hybrid and remote workforce.

To address this, ACME deployed the Café workplace engagement platform. The solution involved mapping employees into regional hubs to facilitate local events, empowering Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and creating a centralized system for organizing and promoting over 2,200 events. Using Café led to significant results, including 20% of employees attending a company event for the first time, a spike in ERG participation, and event organizers saving up to 10 hours per week. The strategy successfully increased overall connectivity and created a more engaged workforce.
