A Cadre Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Bonded Logistics Case Study

Bonded Logistics Boosts Productivity for Large Customer with Multiple Operational Changes and the Flexibility of Cadre’s Cadence Warehouse Management System

Bonded Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, needed to improve performance for one of its largest customers after labor costs rose, productivity declined, and service level agreements were missed. The customer occupied 300,000 square feet of warehouse space and handled 10 to 12 containers per day inbound and 10,000 to 15,000 cases of outbound parcel and LTL shipments, while tracking lots and expiration dates added complexity to picking. Bonded Logistics turned to Cadre Technologies and its Cadence Warehouse Management System.

Cadre Technologies worked with Bonded Logistics to change picking, slotting, labeling, loading, and reporting processes, including Cadence features such as SWOG and OptiPick. The picking process was reduced from seven steps to three, and picking time fell by 25%. Bonded Logistics also cut staffing for the account to 49 employees from 90, reduced the number of loaders by three, and improved productivity enough to meet its service level agreement.
