Ulstein Verft – Hull & outfitting design of expedition cruise ship

Ulstein Verft, a Norwegian ship design and shipbuilding company, needed to optimize its piping production and manage complex, distributed design projects across multiple subcontractors and its own international offices. To meet this challenge, they turned to Cadmatic and its suite of design solutions, including CoDesigner for collaboration.

Cadmatic successfully implemented its solutions, which Ulstein has used since 1995. The software was central to the hull and outfitting design of the polar cruise ship National Geographic Endurance. The solution enabled efficient distributed engineering with teams in different countries and provided powerful tools like eBrowser for project review, which is used throughout engineering, purchasing, sales, and production.
