SDARI, one of China's largest ship research and design companies, faced the challenge of needing best-in-class software for different ship design disciplines that could also integrate seamlessly. The vendor, Cadmatic, provided its 3D design and information management solutions, including CADMATIC eShare, to address this need.

The solution from Cadmatic offered powerful integration, particularly with NAPA software, which allowed SDARI to combine models from different packages into a single data source. This integration streamlined their design process, combining detailed and production design phases on one platform to avoid mistakes and increase efficiency. While some development continues, the results include successfully using Cadmatic software for the production design of various large vessels. The implementation of eShare further centralized project data, improved collaborative design among specialties, and provided intuitive tools for project review and client presentations.
