Scheepswerf Slob – Digital twin platform eShare to reduce production paper prints

Scheepswerf Slob, a Dutch shipyard, faced the challenge of needing to reduce the vast number of printed technical drawings used in production and to provide its staff with more up-to-date information on site. To address this, the shipyard turned to vendor Cadmatic and its eShare digital twin platform.

The Cadmatic solution involved implementing eShare to export PDF drawings from its design applications to Windows tablets on the production floor. This provided workers with immediate access to current information, drastically reducing paper use and saving time. A significant result was the successful integration with nesting software, which allowed staff to visually track the status of every part in the hull-building process, cutting down on emails and uncertainties. Cadmatic's implementation provided Scheepswerf Slob with a more efficient and transparent production workflow.
