SCA Obbola – Linking CAD model, SAP production management & Sitebase

SCA Obbola, a modern paper plant, faced the challenge of having its critical plant information dispersed across several different systems and formats, including its 3D model, SAP production management, and Sitebase plant database. They required seamless access to up-to-date information on demand and needed to integrate models from other engineering systems. To address this, they turned to vendor Cadmatic and implemented the CADMATIC eShare application.

The Cadmatic solution created a platform for a digital twin of the plant by linking all the disparate systems together through eShare. This integration allowed personnel to easily search for and access all plant information in one place, saving significant time and enabling fact-based decisions. The results included the elimination of the need to update hundreds of individual documents, with about 100 users gaining quick access to accurate, as-built information after only two hours of training.
