Multi.Engineering, a design company with over two decades of experience, used Cadmatic software to tackle the challenge of increasing accuracy in 3D modeling for complex retrofit projects. Their specific need was to effectively combine laser-scanned point clouds of existing ship structures with new 3D models when rerouting or installing new piping systems for equipment like BWTS and SCRs.

The solution was the implementation of Cadmatic's Laser Scan Modeller, which allowed engineers to import point clouds directly into Cadmatic models as overlays. This integration streamlined the basic and detail engineering process for refits, enabling more precise planning and shortening engineering time. Furthermore, Multi.Engineering began using the Cadmatic Electrical module to increase efficiency in cable routing for mega yacht projects, maximizing the utility of their 3D models and allowing them to deliver full production packages to shipyards.
