Midcon Designer Ltd, a Polish ship design company, faced the challenge of needing to design vessels efficiently, reduce errors, and generate full and accurate production information for a demanding double-ended Ro-Pax ferry project. To meet these needs, they utilized the Cadmatic design software, specifically CADMATIC Hull and Outfitting.

The solution from Cadmatic allowed Midcon to create a comprehensive 3D model for both basic and detail design, which significantly reduced documentation errors compared to manual 2D work. This was critical for the complex, hydrogen-ready ferry, Hydra, enabling the team to efficiently handle design challenges and generate consistent production documentation. Michał Strabel, Midcon's CEO, stated they "cannot imagine doing without Cadmatic" for creating shell plating and production documents, a process that was previously very tedious and time-consuming.
