A Cadmatic Case Study
ITK Inseneribüroo was tasked with the electrical design and BIM as-built model delivery for the new Courthouse of Tallinn, a significant project managed by the state. The challenge was to create a comprehensive digital model that would take precedence over 2D drawings for the building's administration, requiring all components to have specific, custom data fields as mandated by the client, Riigi Kinnisvara AS. To meet this requirement, the company utilized Cadmatic and its Cadmatic Electrical software to manage the complex data and 3D modeling efficiently.
Cadmatic's solution enabled ITK Inseneribüroo to efficiently add the required custom information fields to thousands of electrical components, a process that took only minutes using the product model functionality in Cadmatic Electrical. This streamlined approach ensured the successful delivery of a high-quality as-built BIM model for the 30-million-euro courthouse. The result was a project delivered on budget and on schedule, with the digital model significantly reducing the role of paper and helping to minimize on-site rework through effective clash detection and coordination.
