The customer, Granlund Saimaa Oy, part of the Granlund Group, faced a challenge in a major university renovation project. The electrical contractor needed highly accurate electronic bills of quantities for equipment purchases and supply packages but lacked the experience and tools. They turned to the designer, Granlund Saimaa, and the vendor Cadmatic for a solution using CADMATIC Electrical.

Cadmatic provided the solution through its CADMATIC Electrical software, which featured excellent tools for generating electronic bills of quantities. By utilizing the software's restriction operations defined by the customer, Granlund Saimaa was able to produce a final result that was extremely fast, accurate, and fine. This ensured the exact quantities of equipment were available for each supply package area, overcoming the near-impossible task of manual calculation from paper plans.
