Case Study: Gondan achieves smarter shipbuilding and improved delivery times with Cadmatic

The Spanish shipbuilder Gondan, with a history spanning over 90 years, faced the challenge of needing more powerful design software. Their goal was to increase their capabilities and efficiently collaborate with external designers on increasingly complex projects with shorter delivery times. To meet this challenge, they chose to implement Cadmatic's Hull and Outfitting design modules along with the eBrowser review tool.

By implementing the Cadmatic solution, Gondan was able to seamlessly distribute design work to external partners while maintaining complete control over the entire model. This allowed the shipyard to significantly improve its delivery times without compromising on quality. The successful use of Cadmatic on projects like the VILJA icebreaking tug and new fishing trawlers has led to a steady increase in the software's use at the yard, and they plan to expand their implementation to include Cadmatic's eShare and Diagram tools.
