C-Job Naval Architects – 3D basic design and full-scope detail engineering

The customer, C-Job Naval Architects, faced the challenge of integrating all engineering disciplines during the basic ship design phase to avoid costly issues later in production. They also needed to improve data access and streamline the class approval process for their vessel designs. To address this, they turned to the vendor Cadmatic and its 3D design solutions.

Cadmatic provided a solution with its Hull and Outfitting modules, enabling C-Job to develop integrated 3D basic designs that included all principal systems from the start. This approach allowed for real-time design data access via Cadmatic eBrowser, which facilitated class approval without needing 2D drawings first. The results included faster response to design changes, more accurate material estimations for early pre-ordering, and the successful delivery of over 20 projects using laser-scanned data for greater accuracy and efficiency.
