Rohm GmbH, a leading manufacturer of clamping and gripping technology, needed a better way to manage its growing CAD parts library. Before implementing CADENAS PARTsolutions, new parts were manually created and filed in SAP, which took significant effort and could cost at least 200 euros per part. The company wanted to reduce parts diversity, speed up design work, and improve coordination between engineering and purchasing.

CADENAS PARTsolutions was integrated with Solid Edge and SAP, and later connected to Rohm’s PLM environment, giving about 90 engineers access to a centralized parts management system across sites. The solution made it easier to find and reuse parts, reduce unnecessary new master data creation, and streamline design and procurement processes. According to Rohm, this significantly improved efficiency and helped save costs by avoiding duplicate parts and reducing wasted time searching and recreating components.
