Parker-Hannifin Receives 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award for Use of PARTsolutions Strategic Part Management

Parker Hannifin, a global industrial manufacturer based in Cleveland, wanted to unify and streamline engineering and design processes across its divisions. The company faced silos of duplicate and obsolete parts data, limited visibility into parts available from other divisions, and difficulty identifying volume purchase opportunities. To address this, Parker worked with CADENAS PARTsolutions and its PARTsolutions Strategic Part Management software.

CADENAS PARTsolutions implemented an enterprise-wide Strategic Part Management initiative built around a centralized database of 3D parts and engineering data. The solution enabled engineers to find and reuse common components across divisions, improve purchasing visibility, reduce duplicate part creation, and support an enterprise part numbering strategy. The program helped Parker reduce engineering time, save time and money throughout the product lifecycle, and bring products to market faster, contributing to the company’s 2016 Manufacturing Leadership Award recognition.
