Samtec, Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic interconnect solutions, needed a better way to support engineers with digital product samples and 3D CAD models. Its existing in-house catalog was static, quickly outdated, limited to a few formats, and costly to maintain, while response times slowed as demand grew. Samtec worked with CADENAS PARTsolutions to find a more scalable digital customer experience solution.

CADENAS PARTsolutions implemented an interactive 3D CAD catalog and product configurator using its eCATALOGsolutions platform, allowing engineers to configure, preview, and download Samtec parts in native CAD formats. The new system generates models in real time across 150 formats and replaced the entire catalog in nine months. Samtec says digital samples can now be delivered in about 24 seconds instead of 24 hours, and the catalog drives around 26,000 downloads per month.
