MIS Emergency Systems Ltd, a leading UK supplier of computer-based command, control and communication (C3) systems that already supports around 1,500 emergency ambulances, developed its next-generation ALERT C³ to tighten integration between mapping and operational workflows. To overcome the limitations of treating maps as a passive backdrop and to speed accurate location identification and dispatch, MIS embedded Cadcorp’s SIS Map Modeller (part of the Cadcorp SIS software suite) as the eGIS component of ALERT C³.

Cadcorp’s SIS Map Modeller provides interactive mapping, critical location search, vehicle tracking, incident replay and resource drill-down directly within ALERT C³, letting call-takers confirm addresses faster, zoom to and follow approaching ambulances during stay-on-the-line calls, and dispatch the nearest resource more quickly. The Cadcorp-based solution has been adopted by several UK and Irish ambulance services (including West Country, East Midlands, Oxford, Cumbria and South Regional Ambulance Ireland), producing faster, more certain incident location confirmation and measurable improvements in dispatch times and performance targets.
