TomeHost, a SaaS platform for creating comprehensive online documentation, needed a powerful yet easy-to-use system for building complex, multi-level user guides. Cactusoft developed the TomeHost system using ASP.NET MVC and MS SQL Server. The solution featured a WYSIWYG editor, a source-control locking mechanism to prevent author overwrites, and the ability to embed guides directly into other web apps. The platform enabled teams to collaborate effectively, eliminated the proliferation of outdated PDFs, and improved the user experience by providing help content directly within applications and via QR codes for mobile access.
