Pedantis delivers two testing systems for remote and supervised candidates with Cactusoft

Pedantis, a Dubai-based company providing online testing for cruise line hospitality staff recruits, faced the challenge of securely testing large volumes of candidates both remotely on mobile devices and in supervised centers worldwide. Cactusoft was engaged to build a comprehensive system that could handle these two distinct scenarios while incorporating ecommerce functionality.

Cactusoft implemented a split-solution consisting of a web-based ASP.NET platform for remote testing and a separate offline Windows .NET Framework application for supervised centers. The online system used active camera observation to deter cheating, while a unique USB-based process was developed for purchasing and distributing offline test licenses. This integrated solution from Cactusoft automated the testing process, supported areas with poor internet, and allowed for secure initial remote testing of candidates.
