Scalable Wireless Network Solution For Financial Services Company

CACI Limited worked with a leading global financial group that had expanded through several wealth management acquisitions and needed a secure, low-administration BYOD wireless solution across its UK offices. The challenge was to support both corporate and privately owned Wi-Fi devices on the existing Cisco Unified Wireless Network infrastructure while meeting strict security and regulatory requirements.

CACI Limited implemented a scalable BYOD architecture with two SSIDs: one for managed devices using EAP-TLS authentication and MobileIron-delivered WLAN profiles/certificates, and one for unmanaged devices using self-service web login. Guest and device traffic was securely tunneled to a DMZ via anchor controllers, supported by Cisco Access Control System, Cisco Guest NAC Server, Entrust PKI, and redesigned proxy, firewall, and logging controls. The result was zero-touch wireless client deployment, seamless secure roaming, direct high-speed internet access, and reduced deployment time through a single point of technical design authority.
