Oxford Brookes University, a leading UK modern university, needed a better way to monitor performance and support strategic planning. Previously, statistical analysis and report writing were limited to a small group of experts, creating bottlenecks in information sharing and making it difficult for wider teams to access the data they needed. To address this, the university sought a university-wide business intelligence approach and a self-service reporting tool.

CACI Limited implemented QlikView, an interactive dashboard and reporting solution, to give users across the university access to KPI data and ad-hoc reporting. More than 80 users were trained to build dashboards or use reports, enabling faster, more flexible KPI monitoring and trend analysis. The result was a more self-sufficient, joined-up reporting environment that improved decision-making, supported strategic planning, and removed reliance on a small number of report writers.
