Barnsley Council’s Home Care Service worked with CACI Limited after successfully implementing CACI’s Cygnum electronic rostering and scheduling solution for its 280 home carers. Building on those efficiencies, the council wanted a mobile working solution that would improve care quality, support frontline worker safety, and deliver cost savings—an area where off-the-shelf options were not meeting all requirements.

CACI Limited partnered with Barnsley Council to develop inTOUCH, a tailored mobile working solution for home care. The system gave carers real-time rosters on handheld devices, dynamic updates, lone worker safety features, and missed/late visit alerts, while also reducing administrative burden, eliminating paper rosters and timesheets, improving resource use, and enabling automated payroll, billing, and proof of service delivery.
