Dumfries and Galloway Council needed to improve its data insights to gain a clearer view of the local areas it serves and better understand the needs of its residents. To meet this challenge, the council worked with CACI and utilized its Paycheck income data along with Household and Wellbeing Acorn datasets.

CACI's solution provided a granular picture of lifestyle, income, and risk factors at a local level. This enabled the council to successfully apply for and secure Borderland Inclusive Growth Deal funding. Using data modelled by CACI, the council identified and ranked towns by priority, leading to the approval of funding for four specific towns, ensuring targeted investment and anticipating emerging community needs.
